DIY Invisible Ink Pen

I am here this week with an invisible ink pen! This is something quite different than what I normally do, but I was sitting in class looking at my surroundings; especially things we use on a daily basis. Computers (unreasonable for me to attempt to make), paper (umm no) and pens. Pens were the only item I could even think of creating. But then I became interested in the ink and began researching some ideas and I came across invisible ink for top secret messages! I thought that this was super cool and I remember something similar in primary school and I was so interested in how it was made and how I could make it. This was a whole lot easier than I thought it would be. It only requires three items which are easy to find at a grocery stores and pharmacies. The ink is invisible unless you heat the paper with a candle or a lighter.

What you will need:
* A fountain pen
* A Syringe
* Lemon Juice

The steps:
* Take plastic ink cartridge out of pen
* Wash the ink out of the cartridge in the sink until its clean
* Take the syringe and fill it with lemon juice
* Release the lemon juice in the ink cartridge
* Screw the plastic ink cartridge (full of lemon juice) back into the fountain pen
* Test it out on paper
* Write whatever you want (it wont be visable)
* Heat under the paper (dont burn it) with a candle or lighter. Any type of fire will work.
* Your message will appear! :)

DIY Flower EOS

I have found the most beautiful lip balm DIY: it is a flower jelly EOS lipstick. This does not take long to make and it is soo beautiful! It will be hard for anyone to believe that you made it yourself!

You'll need a clean EOS container, transparent art gelatin, citric acid, sugar, water, Vaseline and a fake flower. This requires a stove to heat the mixture, as well as a spoon to mix and any little knife.

Instructions -

* Put three table spoons of gelatin and 1 cup of cold water in a bowl.
* Mix and let it sit for ten minutes.(It should have a thick texture)
* Set that aside.
* Mix 2 cups of sugar, three cups of water, 1 teaspoon citric acid in a pot and heat on medium.
* When everything is dissolved and steam is coming from the pot, take it off of the heat.
* Add gelatin and stir until completely dissolved.
* Let mixture cool.
* Use a knife to pop the crate off the EOS container. (Watch video below to see exactly how to do this.)
* Prep the lid of the EOS container with oil or Vaseline.
* Place the top part of the EOS container on top of the bottom half and slowly start pouring some of the mixture into it.
* Place the flower in the container and continue to SLOWLY add the mixture.
* Screw crate back on once the mixture is almost at the top of the container.
* Pour the rest of the gelatin to fill it.
* Put the EOS containers in the fridge until solid. (Preferably for a couple of hours.)
* Pop crate on and you have your jelly lip balm! :)

DIY Fluffy Slime

Everyone wants a little fun sometimes, and a ton of fluffy slime can do just the trick.
I made this with my little cousins and it was honestly so fun and they loved it! Don't worry it's not really slimy! Its fluffy and heavy, more of a solid, but really cool! You can make however much you want, whatever color. After you attempt your first batch, you can try many others with different things in it.

What You'll Need -
* A big plastic tub
* One gallon of glue
* Three cans of shaving cream
* Giant Spoon
* Food Coloring
* Eye Contact Solution

This gets kind of messy so make sure you are not wearing anything you do not mind messing up!

* First fill the tub with gallon of glue.
* Put in a couple drops of food coloring.
* Mix with the big spoon.
* Add three cans of shaving cream.
* Mix with the big spoon.
* Add in contact solution bit by bit until the mixture is forming slime.
* Keep mixing the solution.
* Kneed the slime.
* Have fun with the slime! :)

DIY Mosturizer

I am obsessed with skin moisturizers and lotions, especially those that smell good! I have tons of different lotions, from many different brands; some smell great and feel wonderful but have ingredients in them that are not what I want to be putting on my skin. I like to do DIY's on things that I love so I found this one very fitting, especially since I can add needed ingredients and get rid of those that I do not want.. Below I have a DIY moisturizer that has only three ingredients! :) These ingredients are easy to get anywhere, even on my little island, Grand Cayman. This moisturizer has hydrating properties, does not clog your pores but soothes irritated skin and works with acne prone skin. It includes vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. When the mixture is finished, store at room temperature.
You will need a bowl, aloe vera gel, coconut oil and any essential oil (optional).

* Get a bowl.

* Put two tablespoons of coconut oil in the bowl.

* Put three tablespoons of aloe vera in the bowl.

* Mix until it builds a smooth texture.

* Add three-five drops of an essential oil of your choice.

* Mix the oil in.

* Store in container, use when needed.

DIY Face Mask

Everyone wants clean, clear skin. This is a quick and easy DIY mask, great for blackheads. Store bought masks are quite expensive and these are all natural and safe products. You can add your own personal touch to your mask to make it unique and the best for YOUR skin! I did a lot of research and chose the mask that worked the best for me,hopefully it works great for you as well. You will need two small containers, charcoal powder, glue, and peppermint extract.

* Add two teaspoons of charcoal powder in glue.

* Add a little bit of peppermint oil.

* Mix the mixture.

* Use a face/paint brush to spread mixture on face.

* Peel mask off of your face after 30 mins.

* Use a warm rag to wipe off any excess mask.

* Wash face.

This method worked brilliantly for me and my friends and I recommend it to anyone that is struggling to find a way to get rid of blackheads and shrink their pores.

DIY Bath Bombs

Everyone loves bath bombs! I live on an island where its almost impossible to get my hands on them without shipping. So I decided to do a little research and share with you what I have found. This is a quick and easy way to make your own bath bombs, the best part is that you can customize them exactly to your liking. You'll need baking soda, citric acid, corn starch, Epsom salt, food coloring, a plastic mold, caster oil and essential oil of your choice for scent. The plastic mold could be an Easter egg or old Christmas ornament.

* First mix dry ingredients in a bowl: 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup Epsom salt, 1/4 cup corn starch, 1/4 cup of citric acid.

* Mix wet ingredients in a different bowl: 3 teaspoons caster oil, 1 tablespoon of essential oil, drops of food coloring, table spoon of water.

* Pour the liquid mixture in to the bowl with the dry mixture, very slowly mixing as you go.

* Fill plastic mold with mixture.

* Close the mold.

* Let it dry overnight or in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.

* Tap both sides of mold and take out bath bomb.

*  Enjoy! :)

DIY Teeth Whitening

This is a quick, easy and affordable way to whiten your teeth. The best part about this, is that everything you need, you should find right at home. All you will need is hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and a lemon. This is not something you should do often, use it as an emergency method due to it not being great for your teeth enamel. Besides that, it is a life savor!

* First gather your items.
* Mix half part baking soda and half part hydrogen peroxide in a bowl with a spoon until it forms a paste.
* Take a lemon and cut it into a wedge.
*Bite into the lemon to form a mouth tray.
* Take it out of your mouth gently.
* Take the paste and fill the sides of the lemon wedge with it.
* Bite the lemon for about 5 minutes.
* Take it out and your teeth will be a lot whiter.

DIY EOS Lip Balm

This is a quick and easy way to refill your empty EOS container, the best part is that it is your creation so you can alter it to exactly how you want it! You'll need five simple ingredients for this,
beeswax, olive oil, old lipsticks, essential oil and tape. You can use other ingredients for a different smell or flavor than what is added in this blog too. :)

* First make sure the EOS container is clean and the rest of the old lip balm is gone using a toothpick or warm water.
* Place tape on the inside of the lid in the shape of two crosses, much like two crosses overlapping each other. The video below shows exactly how to do this.
* Cut beeswax into small pieces.
* Heat a little water in a pot with a heatproof container in the middle. Put two teaspoons of the beeswax and five teaspoons of olive oil inside the heatproof container.
* Add lipstick when the mixture melts.
* Add essential oil and mix mixture.
* Take mixture of stove.
* Add some of the mixture to the lid.
* Put in the freezer.
* Wait till the rest of the mixture is of a creamy consistency and spread the mixture over the top of the bottom half of the EOS container. Put that in the freezer.
* Wait ten minutes and take both parts out of the freezer.
* Take the top of the EOS container (The one with the tape.) Use the tape and lift the lip balm out.
* Heat the bottom half with a lighter or candle and stick the top half of the balm on.
* Shape and smooth the balm with your finger and put the lid on.

DIY Nail Polish

This is a quick and easy way to make your own nail polish. There are many different nail polish brands, which make a variety of colors and styles of nail polish, but it is always cool when you can make something for yourself, exactly how you want it. All you need is eye shadow, a funnel, and clear nail polish. This method is definitely fun, but a little messy so you might want to do it on top of something disposable. Choose a more colorful eye shadow palette, as the color of the eye shadow will be the color of the nail polish. Brands like wet n wild are not expensive and their shadows are very pigmented, so I highly recommend using one of their palettes.

* Scrape the eye shadow out and use tweezers to get it to a thin powder.
* Use a funnel to pour the eye shadow in the clear nail polish.
* Mix the solution,
* Paint nails.

Below are the video instructions, posted by a youtuber.

Other things can be added to your polish, like glitter. Below are some photos of homemade glitter polish.

Introduction to my 'DIY/How To' blog.

Do you ever wish you could build, modify, or repair things without the direct assistance of experts or professionals?  Or do you ever want to learn how to do something using a simple and easy guide to follow? Then this is DEFINITELY the blog for you to read! We all spend ridiculous amounts of money on things that are actually simple to build or make, or spend hours at a time trying to learn something, either using the internet or other resources. This blog will not only include instructions and guides, but videos and photos as well.

My first DIY Post - Non- Toxic Nail Polish Remover

Regular store-bought nail polish remover is horrible for your skin, they irritate your eyes, nose and throat. I found a substitute that will get the job done without those horrible toxins! You will only need three ingredients, vinegar, lemon juice, water and a nail file to file off any excess polish. This method will take longer because they are natural products, but anything you are doing is worth doing right! The acid from vinegar will help break down nail polish.

* Fill a bowl half part vinegar, half part lemon juice and soak cotton balls in the mixture.
* Fill a bowl with warm water and soak your nails in it for ten minutes to soften the polish.
* Use the cotton balls that have been soaking in the vinegar/lemon juice mixture and work the polish off of your nails.
* Carefully use a nail file to file any stubborn polish off.
